Liverpool FC donate football strip to Karmic Angels

Thanks to Liverpool FC a Third Division team called SNK in Suma Kunda Brikama District Kombo North The Gambia has a complete squad kit of 16  Liverpool FC shirts and shorts kindly donated by Liverpool FC. Karmic Angels took these to the Gambia in March and had a presentation of the kit to the manager and coach and his 1st team squad at Suma Kunda. The joy on the faces of these young men knowing that they have a genuine kit to wear from Liverpool FC.

This was reported on by the Daily Observer sports page and also on Gambian national TV thanks to GRTS (Gambia Radio and Television Service and was featured on national TV there on 2 nights. The presentation was then followed by a football match between the hosts Suma Kunda and Sotokoi FC on a very heavy sandy pitch with no grass but excellent skills from both sides. Quality football displayed and an amazing day was had by all.

Full details of this auspicious day will be featured on Liverpool FC’s website together with more photos and video footage shortly.

Top picture shows the SNK FC football team in their new Liverpool kit – below Stephanie & Alan presenting the the kit to each player.

Furthermore SNK have a ladies football team and in the future we aim to be able to supply them with a kit too. Our future in the Gambia towards football is forward looking and we have also within our projects given to Busumbala Medina Nursery School and Brikama Medina Nursery School 2 complete football kits donated by Woolston Rovers FC in Warrington who kindly donated a further 15 complete kits for youth football development in the Gambia which we aim to distribute to Boyz Utd FC Academy and Seaview FC Academy for boys in the age group 9 to 16. This will bring more community spirit and also help with the younger boys attending school and creating an interest for the villages where entertainment is non existent.

Football has a leading role with us and it is expected that more children will become educated as their are now additional interests outside of the schools but being controlled by the schools to give added benefit to the children to be at school. Anyone else who has football kits that are no longer wanted we would be pleased to take these to the Gambia. Most teams do not have football kits sometimes all they have is a bib so that their colours dont clash. Help us to help these poor teams. Thank you.
